The big pile   of    laundry
                                           grows

                                                          and grows
                                                                                 and    grows

by the window
                                 sort of like
                                                 a creature
                      from a monster movie
 

                                                          I watched
                                                                    when I was 7 years old.

When there isn't anything

                                     scary          in my life

it's surprising
            how easy it is

to be terrified by the mundane.

Laundry
                   dishes
                                       clutter

the first history paper
                                             I've written      in    25    years.

When there isn't anything

            scary            in my life

there is

                                 always
                                                                      the fear of failure.
